Happy Halloween!Lauren Levinson | October 31, 2007
Happy Halloween Dance Spirit readers! This holiday is especially fun for us dancers because we typically have closets packed with costumes. If you weren’t planning on celebrating, but somehow got convinced to go out tonight, here are three suggestions as to how to put together a last minute costume from your very own wardrobe.
Flamboyant Flamingo: Grab an old pink tutu, pink leotard and pink tights. Buy a few pink feathers to put in your hair and a pink feather boa. Accessorize with pink legwarmers so you don’t get chilly. Pretty Peacock: Combine a black tutu with a blue or green leotard/top and blue or green tights/leggings. Finish with peacock feathers in your hair and a matching feather boa. Pair with black ballet flat to go trick-or-treating or black heels for a party. ‘80s Lady: Find any bright colored dance gear, especially tights, legwarmers, tanks and cut-sweatshirts. Creatively layer and mismatch garments. Finish with a denim skirt, side ponytail and electric blue eye shadow. My advice: eat lots of candy, take pictures and be safe! Cheers, Lauren |
