Busting a Move, Han Solo Style?

April 2, 2012

Let me begin by saying this: Kinect, the video game system that makes your whole body the controller? It. Is. Awesome. I’ve spent a few hours playing “Dance Central,” and it was by far the best time I’ve ever had in front of a TV. There is SO MUCH potential for good dance-y fun here.

Is “Kinect Star Wars” (out today) the best way to make use of this technology? Well, I’ll let the video game critics answer that question. But I will say that there’s a clip from the game’s dance section—that’s right, there’s a dance section—on YouTube. And it’s amazing. The song, a parody of Jason Derulo’s “Ridin’ Solo,” is called “I’m Han Solo.” The idea is that you can, according to the game’s press release, bust a move “Solo style.”

Whether or not that description makes you think about the apocalypse, you need to watch this clip. And may the Force be with you.
