Here's How to Help Dance Studios Affected By Hurricane Harvey

September 1, 2017

As Texas sets off on the long road to recovery post-Hurricane Harvey, the dance community is rallying around them. Gil Stroming, who owns Break the Floor Productions (responsible for conventions like JUMP and DancerPalooza), set up a GoFundMe page directly benefitting any studio owners affected by the hurricane.

Stroming has pledged to match the next $25,000, dollar-for-dollar. Big names (Al Blackstone, Misha Gabriel, and Kirsten Russell, to name a few) have already donated—you can, too, by clicking the link here. All proceeds go straight to studio owners who’ve been affected by Harvey, because as Stroming said, “the dance world is an amazingly supportive community. Let’s do what we can to help our friends in their time of need.”
