Broadway Dance Center “Mobs” Anderson Cooper

Have you ever seen the FOX reality show “Mobbed“? It’s a little slice of heaven. Each episode features huge song-and-dance routines designed to surprise some unsuspecting person with happy news or a big secret. I know some people are all cynical about flash mobs at this point,  but I love ’em. Basically, if the world were a Disney movie—and who doesn’t want to live in a Disney movie??—this is the way everything would happen, all the time.

Yesterday, the delightful Anderson Cooper featured a little promo for the new season of “Mobbed” on his talk show. A guy proposed to his girlfriend (on her birthday!) after a group of New Yorkers burst into dance behind them. And here’s where it gets fun for us dance nerds: All of those New Yorkers were students from Broadway Dance Center! Check it out (the dancing starts around 1:30):

Doesn’t that just make you feel warm and fuzzy and wonderful inside? Ah, the power of dance.
