OK. We know. There’s a new dance meme in town. It’s called the Harlem Shake. We’re talking about it. Are you happy now?
Here’s the thing: The “flail around with a bunch of people (or puppies!) in rando costumes to that Baauer song” version of the Harlem Shake is all well and good. But let’s get real for a minute.
It’s not the original Harlem Shake.
The original Harlem Shake has been around since 1981, people. It’s awesome. It’s fun. It is, ahem, A REAL DANCE MOVE. And it looks something like this:
