Michaela in the Spotlight

17-year-old Michaela DePrince has one of those incredible stories that people just can’t stop telling. (Us included—we first featured Michaela in our April issue.) Now the talented ballet dancer, who was orphaned as a small child in war-ravaged Sierra Leone before being adopted by an American family, has a new video profile from chic online magazine The Avant/Garde Diaries. It features some gorgeous footage of an ethereal-looking Michaela, who just joined Dance Theatre of Harlem, baring her dance soul. Take a look!
