Catching Up with CMS Finalist Jordan Pelliteri

Cover Model Search winner Michelle May—but we also love our two runners-up, Jordan Pelliteri and Gabriella Stilo. Dance Spirit editor Jenny Dalzell talked to Jordan about what she’s been up to since her NYC visit.

Jenny Dalzell: What have you been up to since you, Michelle and Gabriella came to NYC?

Jordan Pelliteri: Well, I actually came back to NYC to attend New York City Dance Alliance Nationals in July, and I also went to Complexions Contemporary Ballet’s summer intensive. That was really amazing. I loved getting to work with the company members along with directors Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson. And now I’m back in the city full-time as a freshman dance major at Marymount Manhattan College!

JD: Your campaign during CMS voting was really strong. What did you do to get the word out?

JP: I texted every single person I knew from conventions and all my longtime friends in dance. A lot of people posted something for me on Instagram and Facebook, too. Their support was amazing.

JD: What was your favorite part about the CMS experience?

JP:
I loved the photo shoot and getting to spend time with Michelle and Gabriella. I loved how we all specialized in different styles, and that we got to see what each of us excelled at. Both Michelle and Gabriella are so amazing and I’m so happy we got to experience it all together.

JD: Do you have any advice for future CMS hopefuls?

JP:
Always stay true to what you do. Be yourself during interviews, the shoot—everything! And definitely enjoy the experience, because it was awesome.
