Gillian Murphy and Ethan Stiefel Tied the Knot!

There’s nothing quite like a dancer wedding—especially when the bride and groom are bona fide ballet royalty.

The whole dance world has been in love with ballet dream couple Gillian Murphy and Ethan Stiefel ever since they shared that hand-holding moment in Center Stage. (No, really—the girl Cooper goes off with after snubbing Jody at the stage door? That’s Gillian!) The pair got engaged back in 2011, and fans have been eagerly awaiting wedding news ever since.

Well, the wait was worth it: Murphy and Stiefel got married on Saturday in NYC, and based on the Instagram evidence, the celebration was just as lovely as their performances together onstage.

Naturally, Murphy took class the day before, snazzily attired:

Naturally, she looked like a beautiful fairy princess on the big day itself:

Naturally, bestie (and fellow ABT principal) Stella Abrera was by her side:

Naturally, the guests included lots of other ballet luminaries:

Naturally, Stiefel killed it on the dance floor:

And naturally, the couple had the cutest wedding hashtag ever: #Murfelday.

Congratulations, Gillian and Ethan!

Excellent news! I thought you two were already married, for many years,
what a great proposal. Kudos to Ethan’s new ballet at ABT. Keep up in the ballet news, then occasionally I get to hear about the famous duo. (I was an old dancing partner of Ethan’s once in Zurich, a long time ago. Before the computer wrecked havoc on my upper body posture. I swear they are the worst for ballerinas.) Not sure where all of Gillian’s great fouettes will go, if she retires… maybe off into the ballet secrets of her teaching expertise.

My online site is: zayvra.com (at youtube with vlogs about all kinds on things) even a Sovereignty of Opera Houses.. business conglomeration idea (50 opera houses), for extreme bulk buying of theater items, anything from point shoes to curtains.

Don’t watch me though, keep dancing as long as you can.
Even take “walking across the stage” parts, just to maintain a good humor.

    Happy Marriage Days-Months-&-Years to You!

    Congratulations again, from Terissa
