Dance movie marathon, anyone?
If you answered yes (and live near NYC), you’re in luck! At the end of this month, the Dance Films Association and the Film Society of Lincoln Center will co-present Dance on Camera 2014, featuring dance film screenings, panel discussions and celebrity appearances.
This is the 42nd year of Dance on Camera, and it promises a diverse array of films with a special focus on unusual collaborations (like dancers working with horses—nbd).
Step inside Paul Taylor’s creative process, go behind the scenes of The Royal New Zealand Ballet’s Giselle, meet Vincent Patterson (the choreographer behind megastars like Madonna and Michael Jackson), explore the mysterious world of Pina Bausch and much, much more.
Dance on Camera 2014 runs January 31–February 4 at the Film Society of Lincoln Center in NYC. Click here to buy tickets and to view the rest of the lineup.
