New York City Ballet’s “Nutcracker” is Everywhere!

In case Ovation’s “Battle of the Nutcrackers” isn’t enough to get you in the holiday spirit: New York City Ballet’s production of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker will be broadcast two ways this week! Tonight, the company’s live performance of the Christmas classic hits movie theaters across the country; tomorrow night, it’ll air live on PBS. (The casting—which includes Megan Fairchild as the Sugar Plum Fairy, Ashley Bouder as Dewdrop and Tiler Peck as lead Marzipan—is the same both nights.)

If you want to see that big tree on the big screen, click here to find a participating movie theater. If you’d rather invite the Sugar Plum Fairy into your living room, click here for your local PBS listings.

And if you’re Nutcracker-ed out, don’t worry: PBS is also airing San Francisco Ballet’s production of The Little Mermaid this Friday night!
