The School at Steps' Pointe Shoe Workshop

January 25, 2015

Ah, pointe shoes. That magical right of passage that every bunhead dreams about. They look so beautiful…but they can hurt. so. much. As a dancer, your feet are two of your most important tools. That’s why it’s essential to take care of them—and why making sure you have the right pointe shoe for your foot type is so important.

Lucky for those of you in the NYC area, The School at Steps will be hosting its annual Pointe Shoe Workshop & Fair—part of its Complete Dancer Series. This is your one-stop-shop for everything pointe shoe. There will be fitters from Capezio, Chacott by Freed of London, Gaynor Minden and Grishko. There will also be a panel of experts— including our friend and Pointe magazine editor in chief, Amy Brandt—and pros like Misty Copeland to talk about their own experiences dancing on pointe.

The workshop will be held on Sunday, February 8 at 6:30pm. Tickets are $10, with group/studio discounts available. Get your tickets here.
