Tricia Miranda Leads Iggy Azalea's "Team," Gives Us Life

March 17, 2016

It’s been a while since Iggy Azalea released new music. But savvy lady that she is, she knows that when you drop your comeback track, there’s no better way to do it than with an epic dance video choreographed by—and starring—Queen Tricia Miranda.

“Team,” the first single from Azalea’s sophomore album, arrived this morning. Since the head-bop-able ode to self-reliance—”Baby I got me, only friend I need, playing on my team”—is suuuuuper dance-friendly, bringing in the brilliant Miranda to mastermind a dance vid must’ve been a no-brainer. But it’s kind of delightful to see Miranda, who’s so often hidden behind the camera these days, front and center in the finished product. Because we’ve missed this face:

Of course, Miranda’s “Team” dancers—you’ll recognize a lot of them from her class videos—are equally amazing. Basically the whole thing makes us want to forget about #squads and join the #team immediately.

Happy Friday, y’all!

(Heads-up: This is not a censored version of the track. There are NSFW lyrics. Consider yourself warned.)
