Watch This Magical Oregon Ballet Theatre Video
These days, it’s easier than ever to go backstage at the best ballet companies, thanks to the many mesmerizing behind-the-scenes videos they’ve been releasing. And Oregon Ballet Theatre’s new release is a perfect example. The beautiful short film gives us everything we love about candid ballet clips—and then some. Created by local filmmaker Patrick Weishampel, the video shows the buildup to an evening’s performance, complete with scenes ranging from the women prepping their pointe shoes, to the stage makeup process, to the stagehands hoisting the curtain up at showtime. The energetic scenes are accompanied by an exciting background song, building the anticipation we’re sure the dancers feel before the curtain goes up. Check out the whole video below!
