You Need to Watch the Trailer for "Step Up: High Water" Season 2

January 7, 2019

In case you haven’t heard (but you have), “Step Up: High Water”—the brilliantly cast, fantastically dancy YouTube Red series based on the Step Up franchise—is returning for a second season. And while we still don’t know exactly when round two will premiere, the show did just gift us an extremely tasty trailer.

Thanks to that trailer, we know at least this much about season 2: It’s not going to lack for drama. “Nobody is coming to Madison Square Garden to watch civilians,” Sage Odom (aka Ne-Yo), founder of Atlanta’s High Water Performing Arts School, barks at his students. “They’re coming to look at superheroes.

Coincidentally, “superheroes” is just the word we’d choose to describe the show’s cast of dancers, which includes Jade Chynoweth, Petrice Jones, Faizon Love, Marcus Mitchell, Carlito Olivero, Terrence Green, Eric Graise, and Kendra Oyesanya.

Enjoy! And while you’re waiting for the second season to premiere, watch season 1 right here.
