The New Victory Theater Brings an Amazing Performance Series to NYC Kids

July 10, 2014

NYC’s The New Victory Theater is piloting a program that (dare I say it?) might just blow every other summer event out of the water. From July 16 to August 1, VICTORY DANCE will feature New York choreographers and companies in a performance series specifically curated for kids and families. That’s more than a dozen performances by the city’s top companies (can you say: Ballet Hispanico, doug elkins choreography, Full Circle Souljahs, Gallim Dance, KEIGWIN + COMPANY, Monica Bill Barnes & Company…ETC?!), all completely free for kids enrolled in NYC Department of Education summer school programs.

Fortunately, they haven’t forgotten about the rest of NYC, who might have aged out of summer camps but still want to see amazing dance. There will be one evening performance per week open to the general public—on July 17, July 24 and July 31 at The New Victory Theater (209 West 42nd Street). Tickets for Victory Dance are available online (NewVictory.org) and are $10 each. We’ll see you there!
