Need another TV musical drama to add to 
your DVR list? Check out “Smash,” the Steven Spielberg–produced show debuting on NBC this fall. The show is about a songwriting duo—played by Christian Borle (Legally Blonde: The Musical) and Debra Messing (“Will & Grace”)—and their quest to get a Marilyn Monroe–inspired musical off the ground. Amid the singing and dancing, be on the lookout for “American Idol” alum Katharine McPhee and Broadway veterans Annaleigh Ashford (Wicked, Legally Blonde: The Musical, Hair) and Megan Hilty (Wicked, 9 to 5: The Musical).
