"DWTS: Juniors" Week 2 Recap: Throwback Thrills

October 14, 2018

We still can’t get over the talent on “Dancing with the Stars: Juniors“—like how many YouTube tutorials do we have to watch to become half as good as these mini dancing machines? And just in case you forgot how skilled these prodigies are, this week’s theme was sure to remind you: Last night, the ten couples performed to songs that came out the year they were born. (But let’s be real, most of these songs aren’t really that much of a throwback.)

This week’s standout performance was by duo Miles Brown and Rylee Arnold. These two 13-year-olds showed us some serious moves in their rendition of the Argentine tango danced to “I Don’t Wanna Be” by Gavin DeGraw. Rylee brought the 🔥 with her emotive expressions and insane leg extensions. They both wowed the judges with their control and command of the steps. Val Chmerkovskiy even complimented Miles’ flair and ability to take command despite his partner being taller than him.

We also love the fact that they were mentored by one of our favorite “DWTS” regulars, Lindsay Arnold, who just so happens to be Rylee’s older sister. Rylee and Miles tied with the highest score of the night, earning 24 points. We can’t wait to see how these dancers will outdo themselves next week.
