"DWTS" Week 7: Icons Night
Wowee, “Dancing with the Stars” can really give you some highs and lows, ya know? Fortunately I’m #TeamBallas forever, and he and celeb partner Paige VanZant have been consistently solid. Their jive was fabulous and VanZant’s competent technique shows her interest in learning, week after week.
Our January 2015 cover star Witney Carson blew past her celeb partner Von Miller in a salsa routine that was clearly too sexy for him. You’d think an NFL player who’s comfortable heaving 300 pound men would be okay lifting a ballroom queen. I was totally bummed to see them eliminated, but tbh, Miller is no Alfonso Ribeiro, and Carson will live to win another season.
But let’s end on a high note, shall we? Of course, no Icons Night could be complete without a tribute to the woman who runs the world, Queen Bey. The ladies, with their male pros, whipped up a group routine to a medley of Beyoncé songs. Was it Sasha Fierce-level amazing? Not really. But hey, it was fun. And that’s what Bey would want.
