Justin Timberlake as Daddy Warbucks?

Apparently there’s a chance Justin Timberlake will be starring as Daddy Warbucks in the new Sony Pictures film adaptation of Annie.

On the “this could be real!” side of the argument: JT is good friends with producer Jay-Z. JT has been in some films recently. JT can sing.

On the “absolutely not” side: Timberlake is about 500 years too young to play Daddy Warbucks. There’s no real dancing involved in the part (lame). He’d look pretty bad in a skullcap. And, uh, a representative for Sony Pictures says the rumors are “not true.”

Oh well. At least I’m two for two with the Justin Timberlake blogs this week. Don’t pretend like you don’t love it!
