Maddie Ziegler Will Be on "DWTS" This Week!

MADDIE ZIEGLER ALERT. MADDIE ZIEGLER ALERT.

THIS IS NOT A TEST.

MADDIE WILL APPEAR ON "DANCING WITH THE STARS" TUESDAY NIGHT.

WE REPEAT: MADDIE WILL APPEAR ON "DWTS" TUESDAY NIGHT.

MAKE ALL NECESSARY DVR PREPARATIONS.

Yes, Miss Maddie will grace the ballroom floor (once again) this week, performing alongside...Josh Groban. A little random, but we'll take it, just as we'll take pretty much any Maddie Z appearance, anytime, anywhere. (And luckily for us, Maddie is basically appearing all the time, everywhere, so.)

So exciting! Can't wait to perform at @dancingabc with @joshgroban ❤️

Did you notice that we said Tuesday, not Monday? That's right: "DWTS" is back to a two-nights-a-week format, which means there'll be a whole lot more sequins and feathers in your life from here on out. This week is "America's Choice Night"—i.e., the six remaining couples will perform routines whose songs, dance styles and even costumes have been chosen by fans—so be sure to tune in. (Naturally, we'll have a recap of all the magic, Maddie-related and otherwise, on Wednesday morning.)

In the meantime, get your Maddie fix right here!

But how can you dance safely and productively in the great outdoors? We got pro tips from Mike Tyus of Jacob Jonas The Company and Xin Ying of Martha Graham Dance Company, both of whom were dancing outside long before COVID-19 hit.

Listen to Black Dancers Speaking Out Against Racial Injustice

This weekend, protests against racially-charged police brutality—spurred by the unjust killings of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Nina Pop, Sean Reed, and so many others—swept the country. Supporters, including many of members of the dance world, took to social media to share their thoughts, and express their grief.

As allies, one of the first actions we can take in this moment is to listen to and amplify the voices of Black members of our dance community. Here are some of the most powerful posts written by Black dancers.
