Look, guys, we know: It is too darn early for holly-jolliness. But the Rockettes appeared on the "Today" show this morning to promote the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, and we can't help it—as soon as we see that iconic kickline, we start daydreaming about sleigh bells and mistletoe and gingerbread lattes.
Thanksgiving has come early, you guys. How so? Let's just say that starting on Monday, you won't have to wait for Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade to watch the season's hottest Broadway shows in your jammies.
Each morning next week, NBC's "TODAY" news(ish) show will celebrate The Great White Way with live performances by some very exciting celebs. I mean, just take a look at the lineup:
NBC's "Today" is in full-on Olympic fever mode (aren't we all?). This morning, the show's Sochi installment was a look at Russian ballet, particularly as it relates to the training of Russia's figure skaters.
In addition to touring the Bolshoi Academy (where they captured footage of some very sweet—and serious—little ballet students), "Today" interviewed our friend Keenan Kampa, the gorgeous American dancer who's an up-and-coming member of the Mariinsky Ballet. Hi Keenan!
Isn't it nice when contests keep things simple? NBC's "TODAY" show has announced an awesomely straightforward challenge: Send in a video of your best dancing—any style, any song. Are you into classical ballet? Classical Indian dance? Have you had 20 years of training? No training? Do you feel compelled to make yet another "Gangnam Style" parody? How about "Call Me Maybe"? Anything goes—just show 'em what you've got! On October 26, the contest's five winners will appear on "TODAY," where they'll participate in a live dance-off. Fun, right? (I'm kind of hoping we end up seeing a krumper facing off with, say, this guy's mom.)
Of course, there are a few rules—the most important one being that the deadline to submit videos is Friday, October 19. Click here to find out all the details.
