What About Arts Education?

It’s Election Day, and hopefully you plan to vote. There are lots of reasons to choose a specific candidate. It could be his experience, his charisma, or his stand on certain issues. But while the candidates have been vocal about the economy, health care and the war, both have been quieter on the issue that directly affects us as dance educators and artists: arts education. Fortunately, both McCain and Obama have released statements regarding this important issue which we’ve mentioned in previous blogs. But in light of Election Day, I thought it appropriate to take another look.
